At the conclusion of this program, participants will be able to:
? Define acute vs. chronic wound.
? List types of wounds.
? Define the characteristics of five types of wounds.
? Describe how to measure wounds, including characteristics of undermining, tracks and exudates.
? Discuss the care of wounds.
? Identify methods to control odor in an open wound.

Upstate AHEC is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the South Carolina Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center?s Commission on Accreditation.
