Managing Generational Differences in the Workplace

OBJECTIVES
At the conclusion of this program, participants will be able to:
? Identify factors which have shaped the outlook and behaviors of each of the four generations in the workforce today.
? Describe the management style preferred by each generation.
? Discuss differences in the work ethic of each generation.
? Identify sources of generational conflict in the workplace and develop positive strategies to minimize these conflicts.

FEE
$60 for non-members; No fee for AHEC members

Licensed Nurses: Upstate AHEC is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by The South Carolina Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center?s Commission on Accreditation.

Upon successful completion of this program, attendees will receive 4 contact hours.

Counselors and Therapists: This program has been approved for 4 hours of continuing education by SC AHEC under its accreditation by the SC Board of Examiners for Licensure of Professional Counselors, Marriage and Family Therapists and Psycho-Educational Specialists.

Social Work: This program has been approved for 4 clock hours of non-social work continuing education by Upstate AHEC, as part of the SC AHEC system, under its accreditation by the SC Board of Social Work Examiners.

Dietitians: 4 hours of CPE for registered dietitians.

Respiratory Therapists: This program has been approved for 4 hours of continuing education by South Carolina AHEC an approved provider of continuing education for respiratory care practitioners by the SC Board of Medical Examiners

Occupational Therapists: This program has been approved for 4.8 contact hours of continuing education for Occupational Therapists. SC AHEC has presumptive approval as a provider of continuing education for Occupational Therapists by the SC Board of Examiners for Occupational Therapy.

Physical Therapists: This program has been approved for 4.8 contact hours of continuing education by SC AHEC under its accreditation by the SC Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation Board of Examiners for Physical Therapy.

Radiologic Technologists: This course meets all criteria and has been approved by AHRA: The Association for Medical Imaging Management for 4 Category A, ARRT continuing education credits. AHRA Reference Number: LEC3811
