In the early stage of Alzheimer’s disease, families face new questions as they adjust. What does the diagnosis mean? What kinds of plans need to be made? What resources are available to help? This 3-part program provides practical answers to the questions that arise in the early stage. Hear from those directly affected and learn what you can do to cope with the changes that come with an early-stage diagnosis.
Join us for Part 1 of Navigating a Dementia Diagnosis: What does this diagnosis mean? Alzheimer's Association Community Educator Cheryl Greenberg, Ed.D, will be facilitating and Dr, Mark Pippinger will be presenting. Topics include: Understanding the disease and diagnostic process, symptons of early stage and approaches to managing, and the relationship(s) amont doctors, patients, and care partners.
Attendees will receive handouts and workbooks via email.
Parts 2 and 3 will take place on Wednesday, February 17 and Wednesday, February 24. It is not required though suggested to attend all 3 parts.
