Join the Alzheimer's Association in collaboration with Dr. Nekita Sullivan for a unique educational opportunity! This will be a HYBRID event!

12-1:30PM Caregivers Only: 3 Steps for Caregivers to Prevent Injury & Reduce Mental Stress (Lunch will be provided)
2-3:30PM Individuals with Alzheimer's or related dementia (early-stage): Maintain Physical Health and Independence during Alzheimer's Progression (light refreshments will be provided)

About the presenter:
Dr. Sullivan was born in Greenville County and educated in the Palmetto State of South Carolina. She is a proud graduate of Mauldin High, Clemson Univ, Medical Univ of South Carolina (Charleston), and American Intercontinental University. She is a certified health education specialist, Doctor of physical therapy, certified hand therapist, certified yoga teacher, and yoga alliance certified yoga continuing education provider. She has 20 years of experience as a health and wellness professional assisting seniors, kids, adults, athletes, and those with special needs. She is also the owner of Yoga Therapy Bar, a holistic physical therapy, yoga, Pilates, wellness studio in downtown Clemson, South Carolina. Her passion for providing services for seniors and caregivers grew throughout her career especially while providing physical therapy services as a Home Health PT and as the Director of Rehabilitative Services at the Woodlands of Furman Continuous Care Retirement Community (skilled, assisted living, memory, and independent care). She witnessed firsthand the many challenges that those with Alzheimer's face every day as well as their caregivers and considered it a privilege to help them manage and cope.
