Meet Bill Smith, Caregiver and Co-chairman of the Caregiver Coalition of the Midlands. The Caregiver Coalition is a volunteer network providing education, support, and advocacy to meet the needs of the seniors in the South Carolina Midlands area. For many years Bill cared for his wife who suffered from Alzheimer's Disease. Bill will share his story of how becoming a caregiver happens so often in an instant. What do you do? Where do you turn? How do you cope? How do you survive? Bill offers his personal story with the hope that caregivers will learn from his experience. He, along with Marjorie George of the Alzheimer's Association, will share ways we can take care of ourselves, better educate ourselves about the disease process, and learn how to be there for our loved ones.
