A community workshop for family caregivers who have loved ones with dementia.

There will be three stages of this workshop:
(1) join a pre-support group to discuss the problems and concerns they have as family caregivers;
(2) experience a virtual dementia tour to gain understanding of their loved one’s frustration and confusion;
(3) join a post-support to learn where and how to get knowledge of the disease, find ongoing support groups, and learn different ways to gain the respite they need to take care of themselves. Participants will be served dinner and get a resource book to help them wend their way through their caregiving experience.

Participants are invited to bring their loved ones with Dementia. They will be cared for in a separate room by experienced people, eat dinner, and engage in meaningful activities.
