Please join us for the November meeting. Thank you to Harmony at Five Forks for hosting our meeting. Our program will be presented by Captain Dallas Gladson, M.S.C.J., from the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office on their Operation Safe Outcomes Registry.
The Greenville County Sheriff’s Office has implemented a voluntary registry for those who are vulnerable. Operation Safe Outcomes allows the Sheriff’s Office to obtain critical information on individuals who may have Alzheimer’s Disease, Blindness, Autism, Down Syndrome, Deafness, Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder. This is in addition to other developmental issues that may affect the way individuals interact and respond to law enforcement personnel. This information is obtained before an emergency involving these individuals and will assist law enforcement’s interaction with those who are vulnerable.
The voluntary information entered by caretakers or family members in the Safe Outcomes Application is transferred into the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office CAD (computer-aided dispatch). When 911 receives a call for service and the address is linked with an address registered in Safe Outcomes, the responding officers will be alerted that this is a Safe Outcomes address through their in-car computer. The information and photo (if one was provided) entered by the caretaker and/or family member will then be provided to the responding officers.
A most informative program- feel free to invite others.
