The mission of the Alzheimer's Association Caregiver Support Group is to provide family caregivers with emotional, educational and social support.
But for our upcoming May meeting, we are adding a FUN little twist for our support group attendees.....
Let’s Saddle Up offers several Therapeutic Horsemanship programs. We invite you to join us for our May 10th meeting as Sharron Dillard RN; Instructor/Program Director speaks to us about the benefits of horse therapy. You are welcome to bring your care receiver (person with dementia) to “meet and greet†some of the miniature horses that Sharron will bring with her. Your stress is sure to melt away when you see them!
We will be meeting in the parking lot beside the Education Building. Please bring your lawn chair and, if necessary, your umbrella.
Refreshments will be provided by The Crossings at Five Forks.
All caregivers, regardless of your loved ones diagnosis or level of disability, are welcome. This is your opportunity to ask questions and get answers from others who are going through similar experiences. YOU ARE NOT ALONE! We meet the 2nd Thursday at 2pm.
