This year?s An Affair to Remember, a unique collaborative fundraiser hosted by Upstate Visual Arts, Inc. and the Alzheimer?s Association Upstate South Carolina Chapter, will take place Saturday, May 6th, 6:00 PM, at Saffron?s in Greenville?s WestEnd Market. Along with a silent auction and reception, guests will enjoy a live auction, dinner, live music, and dancing to the music of The Funktion, an Upstate band specializing in Motown, Funk, Beach, Oldies and R&B.

Through this annual Gala, we have been able to raise awareness and community participation in the long-term care efforts of families disrupted by Alzheimer?s disease as well as educate the community to the significance of the visual arts? role in a healthy lifestyle. Proceeds from this event are divided equally between Upstate Visual Arts and the Alzheimer?s Association?s Respite Care Program in Greenville, both local non-profit organizations. Last year?s Gala raised nearly $20,000.

For the Alzheimer?s Association, the Gala has become a significant fundraiser for our Respite Care Program that allows family care partners to take short breaks from their full-time care of a loved one with Alzheimer?s. Your support will certainly help make this our most successful year ever!
