The Holiday Harvest Gala 2016 is a new, unique event for the Lowcountry’s premier networking organization committed to providing quality services to seniors, caregivers, and adult children – Lowcountry Senior Network. Located at the picturesque Mount Pleasant Memorial Waterfront Park in the footprint of the Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge, this event will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2016 from 6 PM – 9 PM.

The fundraising event will benefit Charleston Area Senior Citizens - Meals on Wheels of Charleston, in addition to serving the two hundred local residents currently on the waiting list to receive services. Through a network of dedicated staff and sustained by giving volunteers, Meals on Wheels not only provides a nutritious meal, but also a friendly visit and a safety check that helps keep seniors living independently in their own homes from the Cooper River to the Edisto.

The evening to remember will be filled with amazing performances by Charleston’s own Ann Caldwell and Jerry Bellows in the Cooper River Room where guests will have a chance to mingle, wine and dine with the Franke at Seaside’s culinary team, bid on one of a kind raffle items, and step outside to enjoy the breathtaking view.

Lowcountry Senior Network is honored to be partnering with the following event sponsors: Care For Life-Experts in Eldercare, Medical University of South Carolina Center on Aging, Compassus Hospice and Palliative Care, Franke at Seaside Continuing Care Retirement Community, Brightstar Care of Charleston, Steve Martindale with Mutual of Omaha Insurance, Homestead Hospice, and Utopia Home Care of Charleston.

Charleston Area Senior Citizens, a non-profit organization established in 1967, provides opportunities for older persons to pursue mutual interests, receive services and participate in programs and services which will enhance their dignity, improve their health, support their independence, and encourage their involvement in the community. Additionally, CASC operates a multi-purpose senior center in downtown Charleston offering health and wellness programs, recreational activities, and educational opportunities.
