When Hollywood characters have heart attacks in movies, they usually clutch their chests dramatically, break out in a cold sweat and drop to the floor. In real life, some people experience heart attacks this way, but it is also possible to experience nonspecific symptoms such as fatigue, indigestion or a feeling of a strained muscle in the back or chest to indicate that someone is having a heart attack. It’s important to know all the signs – including subtle ones – to ensure that you get the emergency care that you need.
