Description

Studies show that doll therapy can be an effective nonpharmacologic approach in improving or eliminating emotional and behavioral symptoms in people with dementia.

Senior living centers and homes that already incorporate doll therapy into their care plans have reported positive results, and the demand for appropriate dolls is increasing.

Kindred Hospice of Spartanburg will be collecting new dolls from now until the end of September 2018. The dolls will be donated to Upstate SC ALFs, SNF, ILFs, home health or home care patients as needed.

Special Requests:
* The dolls should not be too heavy
* Do not donate dolls that make noises
* Textured doll clothing is a plus
* No small doll pieces or small accessories
* Doll clothing and / or blankets are needed
