In honor of World Elder Abuse Awareness Day, the Elder Abuse Training and Treatment Program is proud to present "Lifting Voices Up: Social connection and aging." This is a public panel that includes four champions from our own community coming together to discuss the very important topic of staying socially connected as we age. They will be answering important aging related questions about the experiences they have had in their respective fields.

Our speakers will be: Elizabeth Bernat, Director of Senior Services, Roper St. Francis Healthcare and Executive Director of the Lowcountry Senior Center & Waring Senior Center; Susan Bissette, President of the Neihgbor2Neighbor network in Harleston Village; Jamie Roper, Coordinator for the City of Charleston’s Mayor’s Office on Aging; and Julie Watson, BSN, RN-BC, CHPN, Elder Abuse Specialist for Forensic Nursing Services at the Medical University of South Carolina.

This is a free event and everyone is welcome to attend!
