Meals on Wheels of Greenville will honor its volunteers at the annual Meals on Wheels Volunteer Recognition Luncheon. Volunteers make up 99% of the staff at Meals on Wheels. This year?s theme is ?Volunteers are Magical? and over 500 people are expected to be in attendance. Rick Waddell and Kimberly Kelly of Charter Communications? Rick & Kimberly Show will host the event.
Sponsorships are available. There are a number of opportunities for your company to be involved and have a presence at this event.
Meals on Wheels of Greenville has been serving Greenville County since 1968. Meals on Wheels serves more than 1,800 homebound individuals each year and prepared and delivered 365,000 hot meals in 2005.
Meals on Wheels is not a United Way agency and does not receive regular ongoing funding from the government. Meals on Wheels relies upon private contributions from individuals, clubs, churches, civic groups, area businesses and corporations.
