Medicare Prescription Enrollment event
Focus on Medicare Week April 10 ?14, 2006
The week of April 10th has been deemed a White House Focus on Medicare Week. During that week, the President and his Cabinet members will be visiting Medicare Prescription Drug Coverage enrollment events in various cities across the country. On Wednesday, April 12 and Thursday, April 13, Medicare officials and some Cabinet members will be visiting events in South Carolina. During their visits, the dignitaries wish to acknowledge all of the work that has been done by organizations and individuals serving people with Medicare and extend their gratitude. The event is also planned to increase awareness of the approaching May 15 enrollment deadline.
During this week, the Appalachian AAA (Area Agency on Aging) in conjunction with AARP is hosting an enrollment event on WEDNESDAY, APRIL 12 at the Spartanburg Main Library, 151 S. Church St. Spartanburg, SC, 9:00am ? 1:00pm. This event is an opportunity to assist Medicare recipients with enrolling in a Medicare Prescription Drug Plan and to answer questions about the Medicare Prescription Drug Plan. Individuals should bring a list of their medications and their Medicare card. No appointment is necessary. For additional information contact the Appalachian AAA at (864) 242-9733.
