This Saturday, September 16 are two opportunities to help the Alzheimer's Association.
In Anderson at the AnMed Health North Campus:
Registration 9:00 a.m.
Walk 9:30 a.m.
The Walk route has been extended this year. Walkers will leave the campus of AnMed Health and parade down the street while a roving minstrel and Buttons the Clown entertain the crowd. Rev. George West will preside at the Tribute Service and George Ducworth, the morning host of WRIX radio will emcee. Look for a special appearance from "Radio," Anderson's hometown hero.
In Spartanburg at the Carolina Panthers Practice Field at Wofford:

Registration: 9:00 a.m.
Walk 10:00 a.m.
Bouncin' Roo inflatables for children, face painting, an opportunity to hear Dr. Robert Ringel speak about brain health, to hear jazz musician
Shane Pruitt, see the Tap Dames and a demonstration by Spartanburg Martial Arts. The WALK FM Radio 106.3 will be playing music while guests can bid on silent auction items. Walkers can purchase cotton candy or snow cones. An ambulance and a fire truck will be parked on site for the little ones to explore. The local animal shelter is bringing Repo.
Both Walks feature a special tribute service honoring the lives of those who have or have had Alzheimer's disease.

There is no charge to participate. Walkers are asked to raise or contribute $100 or more to earn a Memory Walk '06 event t-shirt.
