It’s that time of year again! Tax season is in a frenzied whirlwind.
With all of the changes to taxes due to the pandemic stimulus efforts last
year, even some accountants are looking for clarity to filing questions.

Here is the bottom line…
W-2’s, 1099’s, 1098’s, K-1’s - That’s so last year. That all already
happened. It’s history.
Looking forward, tax planning presents us with a great opportunity to get in
front of our future tax liability. Understanding and planning for taxes can help
us to have a more stable and prosperous retirement.

Obviously, taxes are on everyone’s mind this time of year, so it’s a good
time to ask ourselves, “How well have we planned for what could happen
with taxes over the next 10-15 years?” and “How does our view of future
taxation impact how we should be planning?”

Most people are not aware that our current tax laws (rates & brackets) have
a sunset provision. Many are not aware of the provisions of the SECURE
Act. What does that information mean to planners?
