Guest Speaker is Scott Rider. Born and raised in the Columbus Ohio area, Scott married his high school sweetheart Kelly and they have three children, Katie, Jacob and Emma. He is a graduate of The Ohio State University where he was twice the Captain of the Men's Track & Field team, 3 time Big Ten Champion, a 2 time All-American and competed in the 1984 US Olympic Trials. In fact, Scott still holds the men's outdoor record at Ohio State in the 800 meters to this day.

Diagnosed with Parkinson’s 17 years ago, Scott has made it his personal mission to encourage those who are battling Parkinson’s and increase awareness about PD. He lives by the motto I WILL NEVER QUIT! Today Scott resides in Beaufort, SC, serves on the Development Board of the Parkinson’s Foundation, is a Parkinson’s Foundation Aware and Care Ambassador and a frequent speaker at corporate events and Parkinson’s events all across the USA. Always working to create new ways to increase awareness about Parkinson’s, Scott will share with us information about a few of his recent and upcoming projects such as the SouthernLiving adaptive Cottage, Parkinson’s & Pickleball and Parkinson’s Across America.
