The S.C. Respite Coalition is sponsoring a conference at St. Andrews Baptist in Columbia on February 4 from 8:30 AM - 3:15 PM. This conference is open to the faith community, family caregivers, and professionals who want to learn more about establishing programs for lifespan respite. Keynote speakers include Carlos Gibbons of Columbia; father of Leeza Gibbons and former caregiver for his wife Jean, who had Alzheimer's disease.
Sherry Fields, upstate coordinator of Family Connections will also be a keynote speaker.
