If you are new to the Queen City, here for a visit or something in-between, here's a fun way to learn about or get refreshed on today's Charlotte and how it came to be. Join us for a guided tour of Center City highlights - Commerce, Arts & Culture, Sports, and History.

We begin at Romare Bearden Park and finish at the Uptown museums. Here's a sampling:
Catawba Trading Path to Banking Empires
Gold mines to mill towns
Queen Charlotte, Romare Bearden, Michael Jordan, and more!

Trip Itinerary:
9:30 am - Meet at St. John's Baptist Church
10:00 am - 10:15 am Streetcar Ride (Hawthorne to Mint Street)
10:30 am - 10:45 am - Walk from Mint Street Station to Romare Bearden Park (0.3 miles). Meet at the Spiral Odessey Statue
10:45 am - Walking Tour (1 mile)
12:00 pm - 12:15 pm - Walk from Becthler to Ink N Ivy (0.3 miles)
12:15 pm - 1:30 pm - Lunch at Ink N Ivy
1:30 pm - 1:40 pm - Ink N Ivy to Tryon Street Station (0.2 miles)
2:00 pm - 2:15 pm - Streetcar Ride (Tryon Street to Hawthorne)
2:30 pm - Back at St. John's

PARTICIPANTS MUST BE COMFORTABLE WALKING 2 MILES ALL TERRAINS
