A sensitivity training session offered by Center for Success in Aging’s Memory Health Program (GHS Division of Geriatric Medicine)

The session will feature the internationally known Virtual Dementia Tour®, a scientifically proven method of building a greater understanding of dementia through the use of patented sensory tools and instruction.

The Virtual Dementia Tour® is for anyone seeking to understand the physical and mental challenges of those with dementia and create a community of acceptance and support for dementia.

Experience dementia first hand and be a part of increasing the level of care and commitment to this shifting societal issue. Families, caregivers, health care providers, and community members are welcome.
The Virtual Dementia Tour® is an immersion experience simulation of dementia created to teach people about the physical and mental challenges facing those living with dementia. The VDT® both helps people caring for those with dementia provide better care and offers hope to caregivers, providing tips and tools necessary to create an environment that supports the needs of those with the disease.

This experience takes approximately 20 minutes but will change your view of dementia forever. Sign up will be in 15 minute increments and you MUST be registered to accommodate for all reserved time slots. Time slots will be available from 8:30-11:30am.
