Beginning January 2 through March 26, each Wednesday night from 6:15 - 7:45 , The Haven and First Baptist Church of Mauldin will present a series of workshops addressing issues of concern for those who may be "just one phone call away from becoming a caregiver" or those who may have already assumed the role as caregiver for a parent.
Programs will include advice/information from attorney, financial planner, Veterans Affairs, Alzheimer's Association, assisted living, Alzheimer's care, skilled nursing, home health, hospice care, Medicare, pre-funeral planning, National Family Caregiver's Association, dealing with grief and more. On March 26 a community resources exhibit forum will be held in the church fellowship hall. Wednesday night dinner is available by reservation only by calling the church office by Monday of each week (Adults $4.00) 864-288-7835.
Childcare is also available by reservation only.
The opening session on January 2 will be an overview of the classes, distribution of notebooks, schedule of programs, discussions.
