The final presentation of ?This is Your Life,? an intergenerational oral history project piloted by Senior Action, Palmetto Prep School, and the City of Fountain Inn Department of Parks and Recreation, will be held from 10 a.m. ? noon on Friday, January 15, 2010 at the Fountain Inn Activity Center, 610 Fairview Street, Fountain Inn, SC 29644.

Fourth and fifth graders from Palmetto Prep School will present their biographies followed by an interactive story time featuring professional artist-in-education Nancy Basket, who specializes in storytelling, basketry, and papermaking. Sharing her Native American heritage, Nancy re-tells ancient legends orally and through her art. She says of her work," I feel the old ones guiding my fingers and I am proud to be making something beautiful." A contemporary basket maker and fiber artist, Nancy takes her name from the work she does, and from her Cherokee grandmother, long ago Margaret Basket.

The event is free and open to the public. To RSVP, please call 864-862-4675. For more information, call Kathy Russ at 864-335-5027.
