Position Description

Countryside Village currently has an opening for an activity director in our assisted living area. The employee must have compassion to work with the elderly, encourage resident socialization, improve daily living skills, expand personal interests and increase physical activity and education. As the activity director you will be responsible for conducting scheduled activities seven days a week. This includes but not limited to: driving community residents to outings, maintaining documentation required by state for activity planning, organization, and goals. Also the activity director must be able to coordinate special events and private resident parties in conjunction with the Executive Director, contact community groups and volunteers to perform specific activities and coordinate individual resident programs. The activity director must possess strong verbal/written communication skills.

Required Experience

At least one years experience in conducting group activities, and the ability to evaluate resident needs.
