Care Managers and Med Tech Responsibilities:
Provide direct care to residents following an individual service plan, treats each person with respect and dignity, recognizes individual needs, and encourages independence
Assist residents with activities of daily living to include: bathing, dressing, grooming and toileting
Transfer residents to and from activities and meals according to their individual needs
Serve meals to residents in the dining room or their apartments if sick
Observe and record changes in residents' eating habits and reporting updates to supervisor
Foster a home-like environment throughout the community by encouraging independence and participation in activities and providing emotional support.
Additional Med Tech Responsibilities:
Med Techs provide residents with medication administration and treatment assistance and services according to the health care provider's orders. Supervise residents who self-administrator medication while following company and regulatory guidelines. Report any changes in resident's physical condition and/or behaviors.
Required Experience
High school diploma or GEDOne year of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
Previous experience working directly with older adults preferred
Flexible schedule, including availability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed
Must enjoy working with the senior population
Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check
Med Techs must have previous experience in passing medication
The ability to work a full shift and come to work on time and work overtime as needed
The ability to work according to the necessary schedule to meet job requirements with or without reasonable accommodation.
