Easley Living Center located in Easley, SC has an immediate opening for a Director of Admissions and Outreach.

*Ideal candidate will possess:
Previous healthcare marketing experience
Have a firm understanding of driving facility census
Minimum of 1 year marketing experience working in a skilled nursing or assisted living facility


To obtain required information and admit residents in an efficient manner, in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that governs the protection of the rights of the residents. Coordinate all phases of public relations and marketing for the facility.

Essential Functions:

Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the facility?s public relations programs and activities.
Ensure that public information (policy manuals, etc.,) describing the services provided in the facility is accurate and fully descriptive.
Assist facilities in contacting the news media when new programs, promotions, etc., are implemented within the facility that will be beneficial to the facility and community alike.
Assist in interviewing residents/guardians/sponsors and obtaining required admission information and signatures.
Assist in the resident admission orientation program in accordance with our established policies and procedures.
Admit and prepare identification records for residents in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Maintain an accurate record of available beds.
Admit, transfer, and discharge residents in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Develop and maintain a good working rapport with inter-department personnel, as well as other departments within the facility.
Provide residents with admission information packet (e.g. resident rights, notice of privacy practices, admissions contract, etc.).
Obtain the resident/guardian?s signature on all required permits, releases, authorizations, etc.
Maintain a current listing of all residents and assigned room numbers. Provide copies of such listing to nursing service, management, government agencies and personnel, etc. as necessary and in accordance with our privacy rules.
Attach preadmission documentation to admission papers as appropriate.
Collect, assemble, and check admission papers. Forward to appropriate department.
Obtain resident?s assigned room number. Place on necessary admission papers.
Forward completed medical records to Medical Information Specialist as appropriate.
Maintain a record of authorized information taken from records i.e., type information, name of recipient, date, department, etc. in accordance with our facility?s established policies and procedures.
Extract information from records as authorized for insurance companies, Medicare, etc.
Notify health services when the resident has arrived at the facility to assure that a member of the nursing staff escorts the resident to his/her assigned room.
Maintain various registries as directed including register for admission and discharge of residents.
Review/explain the resident room rates, billing procedures, visitors/guest privileges, restrictions, resident care procedures, etc. as appropriate.
Establish and maintain resident master card file.
Refer admission problems to proper authority, i.e. office supervisor, nursing services, etc.
Maintain a resident waiting list in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Maintain daily and monthly census report as directed.
Ensure a resident?s valuables are inventoried and deposited or a ?Release from Responsibility? form is signed in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Provide resident/family with information concerning resident funds, resident rights, advance directives, etc.
Performs other related assignments as required.


Bachelors degree preferred- Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or GED- with previous experience in healthcare public relations.
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant; must be calm and levelheaded in emergencies.
Must be well groomed and possess ability to work harmoniously.
Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.
Must possess the ability to minimize waste of supplies, misuse of equipment, etc.
Must possess the ability to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing practices.
Must be knowledgeable in the use of computers, data input/retrieval/output functions, etc.
Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.
