Position Description

The Director of Nursing will coordinate the total care of residents within a 44 bed licensed nursing unit and management of the unit as well as supervision of personnel in accordance with the residents? needs, state regulations, and Emeritus policies and procedures. This position will also maintain excellent services, high occupancy and meet community financial goals as well as supervise and train staff regarding care policies and procedures and Wellness program. Duties include: acting as charge nurse of unit and provides professional nursing services; evaluating resident needs, condition and care; directing and coordinating overall resident care plan from move-in to discharge; implementing and maintaining an accurate wellness record for each resident; interacting with the residents? physician, pharmacist, and medical personnel; supervise the storage, distribution, administering of and discontinuation of residents? medication; schedule staff hours; and manage administrative duties.

Required Experience

Qualified candidates will be a licensed RN in good standing and meet all State health requirements. Supervisory experience in long term care or assisted living preferred. Computer skills required.
