Elderly Disabled Services Case Manager

The Spartanburg Housing Authority has an opening for a non-medical case manager to work with low income elderly and disabled residents. This position is also responsible for referrals, program coordination assistance, clerical support, documentation of case management files, partner relationships, and activity development. Employee is responsible for providing services to assist in referrals for tenants requesting or needing assistance, and providing basic counseling on physical, psychological, social or environmental problems for elderly and disabled residents; as well as group activities, programs, or seminars. Must be willing and able to drive a 14 passenger bus and have a clean driving record.

Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in Social Work, Gerontology, Psychology, or Counseling; or any equivalent experience. One to two years’ experience in public contact work involving community social service programs for low-income families and / or the elderly or disabled; or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
