Position Description

The Residences at Park Place a division of Medical Services of America,Inc., seeks an experienced full time Food Service Director to join our team in Seneca,SC. Perpares and serves meals as indicated on planned menus, using standardized portion sizes and approved substitutions. Assists the Executive Director with hiring, training and supervision of other food service employees. Schedules all food service staff, ensuring coverage for all shifts, with assistance from the Executive Director as needed. Ensures the kitchen and food service areas are maintained in a clean and safe manner and assures compliance with the state sanitation codes. Inventories and orders food products and supplies on a regular basis to ensure an adequate supply is maintained. Ensures food service cost are maintained within established budgetary guidelines. Consults with a Registered Dietician on an as needed basis for assistance in meeting any special needs of residents.

Required Experience

High School diaploma or GED required. Must demonstrate successful employment in cooking for a large groups (50+people). Two or more years experience in preparing special diets ( including low sodium,low cholesterol,diabetic and vegetarian) preferred. Must have experience working with computers.
