Are you caring and compassionate and want to help others? Our Veteran owned hospice is in need of volunteers!

Patient Care Volunteers work as a member of the clinical team in providing support and companionship to patients and/or families in individual’s homes, long term care communities or at one of the beautiful hospice houses. We also do companionship phone calls, wellness check ins, reading and other activities with patients.

Administrative Support Volunteers provide behind the scenes support in one of our many office locations doing non hands on patient related activities such as sending birthday cards, bereavement cards, making phone calls or other activities.
Licensed Volunteers may provide services such as Cosmetology, Notary, Pet Therapy, Manicures or Massage Therapy.
Ability to recognize what needs to be done and appropriately address needs.
Comfort in dealing with terminally ill and families in emotional distress.
Knowledge of own limitations and the ability to maintain appropriate boundaries.

Must Commit to:
12 Hour minimum hospice volunteer training
12 Hours of continuing education annually
2 Initial tuberculosis skin tests for any volunteer with direct patient interaction (or chest x-ray)
Have a completed Covid vaccination record ( 2 doses )
Minimum 12 hours per year to remain active

Volunteer experience helpful but not required.
Hospice knowledge is helpful but not required.
