Long Term Care Ombudsman

The ACOG seeks a Long Term Care Ombudsman to advocate for the rights of residents in long term care
facilities in the six-county South Carolina Appalachian Region. This position will receive and investigate
complaints regarding long term care facilities and conduct routine visits to solve problems on behalf of the
residents. The Long Term Care Ombudsman provides outreach, training, and consultation on long term care
matters to the public. Qualified applicants must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

The preferred candidate will have at least a bachelor’s degree in social services or closely related field with
a minimum of two years of experience in human services or long term care services; OR some equivalent
combination of education and experience.
