Upstate Home Care Solutions is looking for an enthusiastic, go-getter to be our Marketing Representative/Community Services Liason. We seek someone who loves to meet and engage in conversation with people and their families; appreciates the opportunity to face challenges; works well autonomously as well as with a team; is self-disciplined and driven; and would like to educate the community about the importance of non-medical home care for seniors and their families, children with special needs, and for veterans and their surviving spouses.
This individual will be responsible for positively impacting client sales and volume in the Upstate of South Carolina. This individual would market Upstate Home Care Solutions’ services, to include our Veteran Advantage Program, and develop relationships with referral sources (e.g. senior social services professionals, case managers, nurse managers, etc.) in the Greater Greenville/Spartanburg area. This position requires file analysis and follow-up contact with client(s) and family members, doctors, NRC, and referral sources to facilitate the start of care for new clients as well as fully develop VA claims for our Veteran Advantage Program participants.
Required Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Social Work, or Human Services; or, Associates degree in Human Service field and a minimum of 2 years sales experience in information and referral services, case management, social services, or sales.• Willing to learn the senior care industry
• Superior customer service, communication, presentation, and networking skills
• Preferred experience: Bachelor’s degree, prior experience working with the elderly; knowledgeable of local community resources.
• Excellent communication skills (written, verbal) with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively both in-person and over the telephone
• Self-motivated
• Highly organized and detail oriented
• Excellent time management skills
• Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher
• Incredibly patient with the ability to work effectively with the elderly; with their family members; or with upset, angry, frustrated, and/or sick callers/clients/potential clients who may be in crisis
