Foothills Retirement Community is now hiring for the Opening of a 20 Room Memory Support Center. The Center will have 20 private bedrooms surrounding a household style den, kitchen, and dining room.
The Coordinator will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and implementing programs and services for residents with dementia. The primary responsibility is providing a therapeutic environment for the Memory Support Center to maintain each resident's highest level of physical, social, and physiological well-being.
The Coordinator will supervise the staff for the center and will work with department heads throughout the CCRC to provide a comprehensive program for these residents.
Required Experience
Minimum Qualifications include an associate's degree in Human Services with emphasis in geriatrics, knowledge of Community Residental Care Facility regulations, and three years of experience in providing care for persons with Dementia.Preferred Requirements:
A Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or Therapeutic Recreation with emphasis in geriatrics and five years of specialized training in dementia.
