Position Description

The Carolina Center for Behavioral Health is the upstate's leader in providing psychiatric and substance abuse disorder treatment for adults, senior adults, and adolescents. This position is PRN every other weekend.

Job duties include:
- Provides physical assessments and completes medical history and physicals.
- Completes requested Medical Consults.
- Orders labs and tests
- Provides education, as needed, to patients, families and significant others.
- Follows practice protocols agreed upon by supervising physician.
- Maintains and reviews patient medical services documents and records as necessary.

Required Experience

Current Advanced Practice Registered Nurse license (Family or Psych) to practice in the state or Licensed Physician Assistant. Maintains national certification in nurse practitioner specialty area or as a Physician Assistant. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to maintain confidentiality in regards to all information; skilled in flexibility, organizational, prioritization, and time management skills; crisis management skills; skills in analysis and evaluation; sound clinical judgment and decision-making; able to understand and apply applicable standards and regulations (e.g. The Joint Commission, CMS, DHEC, etc.). Psychiatric experience preferred but not required.
