Open Streets 704, City of Charlotte, Mecklenburg County
April 19, 2020
Charlotte, North Carolina

Want to help give your city a car(e) free day at Open Streets 704? Please consider volunteering two hours of your time on Sunday, April 19th! Open Streets 704 is the biggest cycling and pedestrian event in Charlotte and spans four miles from the Plaza Midwood neighborhood to North Davidson Street. The event aims to build a better, healthier, connected community by encouraging residents of all ages and abilities to walk, bicycle, and experience the city together by closing a length of streets to cars and opening them to people.

During this dynamic volunteer opportunity, you will be welcoming attendees to the event, giving motorists alternative directions, and gathering valuable survey feedback so we can all make the event better next time! There is a job for everyone, even if you have limited mobility. For more information, check out the sign-up form on the Open Streets 704 website ( and be sure to invite friends and family so you too can enjoy the event after your shift!

Please do not hesitate to contact Kate Cavazza (email: / mobile: (980)240-4020) with additional questions.

During Open Streets 704, your duties may include:
-Assisting CMPD officers in providing detour options for motorists.
