The Program Director will direct, manage, and expand existing programs and services in assigned geographic area inclusive of the following counties in SC: Spartanburg, Union, Cherokee, York, Chester, Fairfield and Lancaster. This person is responsible for: family and professional programs and services in the 7 counties; the development and implementation of Association programs and services incorporated from the Portfolio of Common Programs and National/State Strategic Plan; evaluating chapter programs through the Core Services Quality Evaluation Initiative; developing and maintaining relationships with related health care and social service providers; representing the Association at public events; recruiting, training, coaching, and supervising volunteers associated with delivery of programs; and assisting with local advocacy visitors/correspondence.

Bachelor's degree required; desire a minimum of 2 years work experience in gerontology, social work, or a related field. Strong organizational skills to plan, implement and administer programs, demonstrated verbal and written communication skills including public speaking also required.Must have working knowledge of MicroSoft Office (Word, Excel, and Powerpoint). Must be willing to work some evenings and weekends and travel as required.
