Who We Are:
Bridges for End-of-Life is a Lowcountry nonprofit that helps individuals and families navigate challenging end-of-life realities. We educate the community about end-of-life issues, strengthen healthcare workers’ & caregiving professionals’ ability to support patients, enable children to grieve, heal & grow after the death of a loved one, and empower families to make the most informed choices possible.

Position Description:
We are looking for a well-organized, self-motivated professional, with a creative & playful spirit, that can work autonomously as well as collaboratively in a start-up environment. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Program Management & Development (~60%) – Responsibility for planning, implementing, & evaluating three core programs that are staffed by licensed & trained facilitators and volunteers:
1) Rainbows – School-based grief support groups (15- 20 per year) for elementary & middle school students
2) Shannon’s Hope – Overnight camp for grieving children/youth ages 6-15 (Spring & Fall)
3) Professional Education Workshops – A series (6) half-day workshops for healthcare professionals & caregivers

• Donor Stewardship & Knowledge Management (~10%) – Maintain & manage contact/donor database including data/donation entry

• Collaborate with Executive Director on Projects (10%) – Provide thought leadership as well as project management support for additional programmatic, development, and operational initiatives

• Administrative Support (~20%) – Provide basic logistical support for program activities as well as board and committee meetings

Additional Details:
Full-time Exempt
Reports to Executive Director
Salary: Competitive & commensurate with experience

Required:
Bachelor’s Degree
Car & license for local travel
Technology acumen
Fluency with MS Office suite
Strong ability to communicate effectively (verbal & written)
Ability to plan, prioritize & multi-task
Excellent project management capability
Comfort with providing emotional support to people of all ages (children to seniors)
Ability to start no later than April 18

Preferred/Ideal:
Master of Social Work (or comparable)
Passionate connection to our mission
3-7 years professional experience
Familiarity with end-of-life issues, health care industry, grief support
Experience working with children, seniors and/or health care professionals
Experience leading and developing training
Comfort with public speaking
Experience using a donor database (especially Salesforce)
