Position Description

The primary function of this position is to oversee the entire nutritional/clinical operations of the facility in accordance with the current federal, state, and local standards, guideline and regulations governing the facility on a daily basis, including by not limited to clinical management, dietary documentation, food production and quality, sanitation, and staff development.

Required Experience

• The incumbent will hold a BS and/or Master’s level degree from an accredited University or College.
• Must be registered by the Commission of Dietetic Registration of the American Dietetic Association.
• Two years of clinical nutrition experience and must understand the organization and operation of the nutrition department of a long-term care nursing center.
• Must have knowledge of DHEC and OBRA regulations.
• Posses the ability to provide direction and information to nursing staff, dietary employees, and other professional and disciplines concerning dietary needs and requirements.
• Must exhibit behavior that promotes teamwork among all disciplines and have the ability to communicate well with age specific residents, families, and staff.
• Computer skills, including Microsoft word and Excel.
