This statement sets forth the basic tasks and duties of the job, but is not intended to provide a detailed
description of all functions that may be required to perform the job satisfactorily.
MAJOR TASKS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
ï‚§ Day-to-day supervision of the personal care staff.
ï‚§ Responsible for overseeing all aspects of medication, including but not limited to; orders,
administration, storage, and documentation as mandated by State Regulations & Guidelines as
well as company policy & procedures.
ï‚§ Prepare functional assessments for residents upon admission, as needed, and at least quarterly;
and, chart resident status a minimum of monthly.
 Serve as the “responsible person†in the absence of the Executive Director or Assistant Executive
Director.
ï‚§ Assist the Executive Director in planning, organizing, developing, implementing, directing and
actually performing the various activities and functions of the residence.
ï‚§ Assist non-supervisory personnel in upholding all policies and procedures.
ï‚§ Supervise the use of equipment and supplies and uphold cleaning standards.
ï‚§ Assure that resident rooms and common areas are clean and safe at all times.
ï‚§ Perform inspections of all areas in the residence as directed by the Executive Director and
record the findings on the appropriate forms.
 Assure that all resident care employees are familiar with the residents’ individual conditions and
are trained to provide resident services in an effective, professional and sensitive manner.
ï‚§ Conduct training classes, on-the-job training and orientation programs for all staff personnel as
directed by the Executive Director.
ï‚§ Assist the Executive Director in the recruitment and selection of staff personnel.
ï‚§ Assist the residents with their self-medication or administration of medications.
ï‚§ Be prepared for and manage emergency situations including disasters, fire and other
emergencies.
ï‚§ Ensure adequate and appropriately trained care staff is available for each shift within company
guidelines.
ï‚§ Communicate daily with the Executive Director concerning all incidents.
ï‚§ Attend staff meetings as directed.
ï‚§ Attend and participate in educational classes and on-the-job training programs as scheduled or
directed.
ï‚§ Respond in a timely manner to requests of residents, families and guests.
ï‚§ Participate as assigned in activities, special events, marketing efforts and special programs.
ï‚§ Participate in marketing the community by giving tours to prospective families.

ï‚§ Adhere to all policies and procedures of the community.
ï‚§ To act at all times in a professional manner to visitors, staff and residents in the community.
ï‚§ Attendance on the job as scheduled.
ï‚§ Other duties as assigned for the successful operation of the community.
Required Experience
Must have earned a high school diploma, a GED, or high school equivalency.QUALIFICATIONS
ï‚§ Must be a minimum of eighteen years old.
ï‚§ Successful completion of drug screening.
ï‚§ Successful completion of motor vehicle records check.
ï‚§ Must obtain a satisfactory criminal record check per State guidelines.
ï‚§ Must have received a tuberculosis screening and physical examination within twelve months
prior to employment (or as State Guidelines Require) to assure that the employee is free of
diseases communicable within the scope of employment and physically qualified to work.
ï‚§ Must have evidence of first aid and CPR certification.
ï‚§ Demonstrated ability to supervisor Care Assistants.
ï‚§ Dementia training
ï‚§ Must be fully versed in State regulations and company policies relative to resident care.
ï‚§ Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and employees
