Performs assessments/care plans for residents receiving Special Task as required in
10A NCAC 13G .0903.
Communicates all necessary assessment and care plans to direct care staff and SIC.
Participates in and conducts in-service training for supervisory personnel and all staff.
Meets with Department Directors at least monthly to discuss departmental problems and possible solutions as well as receiving suggestions from Department Directors on matters pertaining to department operations.
Reviews and checks competence of work force on a regular basis.
Maintains employee morale.
Assists personnel and patients in establishing a home-like atmosphere.
Maintains a good working relationship with the community, hospital, and other health care facilities and agencies in the community and assures coordination of services through working and transfer agreements.
Assures good public relations are maintained with the general public.
Represents the Community in various outside activities and in dealing with various agencies including governmental and third party payers.
Attends workshops and seminars in order to maintain a current RN License.
Makes rounds of the Community getting to know residents, family members, and staff.
Implements facility HIPAA policies.
Meets with Directors on an as needed basis to discuss areas of concern.
Attends monthly Q.A. meetings.
Performs other duties as outlined by Administrator/Administrator-in-Charge.
Required Experience
Must be a Registered Nurse in the State of North Carolina.Must be willing to work with various department directors, residents, visitors, family members, employees, and community leaders.
Must have the ability to plan, organize, and follow-up on work assignments.
Must have a sound knowledge of local, Federal and State regulations, and any other laws pertaining to Community operation.
Must have the ability to make independent decisions and work well under pressure.
Must have the ability to promote public relations.
Must complete the “Manual” for How to Complete DHSR 3050 Resident Assessment and Care Plan.
