Position Description

RN DIRECTOR OF QUALITY COMPLIANCE
Reporting to the Executive Director, this position is responsible for:
Coordinating and/or presenting the orientation of new staff
Coordinating and/or presenting ongoing education for staff
Analyzing clinical education needs and designing clinical staff education plan annually
Tracking records of completion of clinical competencies and chart auditing
Conducting Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement (QAPI) activities as indicated by the annual Quality Improvement Work Plan
Initiating and Participating on the QAPI Committee
Participating on the Safety Committee and chairing the Infection Control Sub-committee, when appropriate
Educating staff one-on-one when identified documentation or education needs have been identified

Required Experience

QUALIFICATIONS:
Current South Carolina RN License required
Broad knowledge of the Medicare Condition of Participation (CoPs) and DHEC Regulations
Bachelors degree in nursing or other health-related field preferred
3-5 years experience in hospice and/or home health preferred
Computer skills required
Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding patients and staff
Sensitivity to the various needs of different levels of staff and ability to teach the adult learner
Knowledge of the quality assessment and performance improvement process
Ability to communicate effectively with all staff members
