2009 Upstate, SC Arthritis Walk

The Arthritis Walk is a fun-filled nationwide fundraiser event benefitting the Arthritis Foundation. Thousands of teams across the country join together and walk to help prevent, control and cure arthritis. Anyone can be part of a team - co-workers, friends, family,people with arthritis, etc. Let's Move Together to make a difference!

This is the first year that the Arthritis Foundation has scheduled a walk in the Upstate. In South Carolina, 30% of women are affected by arthritis and approximately 60% of the senior population over the age of 65 suffers from some form of arthritis. Many children are diagnosed at an early age with juvenile arthritis as well.

The Event in Anderson will be on October 25, 2009 at 2pm at the Chris Taylor Park at the Anderson Civic Center. The Greenville Walk is scheduled also on October 25th, 2009 at Cleveland Park.
