Aging Life Care Association Charleston Chapter Members Receive Accolades

The Aging Life Care AssociationTM (ALCA) Charleston Chapter announces accolades recently received by two active members.

Kirke Gordon, RN, BSN, CCM was recently accepted as a Professional member of the ALCA. As a member of ALCA, Gordon adheres to the Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics developed by the association and its members to ensure public accountability. Gordon has been practicing as an Aging Life Care Professional® (also known as a geriatric care manager) since 2014. She is currently Vice President of Business Development with Right at Home Charleston and owner of Indigo Advocates, LLC.

Margaret Kunes, MHA, CMC, recently received the ALCA Outstanding Southeast Chapter Member award. This award is given to members who show exceptional work to raise awareness of the Aging Life CareTM Management field. Kunes is an Advanced Professional Member of the national ALCA and has been practicing as an Aging Life Care Professional® (also known as a geriatric care manager) since 2014. She is the owner of Aging Life Care Charleston, treasurer for the regional Southeast chapter of ALCA and a founding member of the local Charleston chapter of ALCA.

Both Gordon and Kunes provide guidance and advocacy for families who are caring for older relatives or disabled adults. With a specialized focus on issues related to aging, they assist clients with the challenges of aging, such as finding appropriate housing, in-home care, referrals to medical providers or elder law attorneys, as well as the advocacy and support that provides families peace of mind.
