Current info on Ray Hopkins Senior Center-Mauldin

April 7, 2020

The Ray W. Hopkins Mauldin Senior Center is a place for all Mauldin’s seniors to engage with each other in a variety of programs, services, and activities. Their mission is to involve and inform active senior adults (55 & up) by providing quality programs, services and activities to contribute to each person’s mental, physical and social wellbeing by reinforcing the belief that age has no boundaries and that each person has a vital role in his/her community.
Due to the Coronavirus, The Mauldin Senior Center is closed until April 30, 2020 to assist in mitigating any potential COVID-19 outbreaks. Staff will re-evaluate the Center’s operations during the closure, which may be extended past April 30, 2020 if warranted.
The Center’s recent newsletter states: We are busy readying our facility for your return. Our building is being sanitized in detail. We are rescheduling most of our activities and anxiously await the day we can start seeing our members smiling faces again. In the meantime, here are a few suggestions:
United Way 2-1-1…You can dial this free 24 hour resource line to get connected with local programs that address a wide range of needs.
Some fun things to do during April:
Write a letter to a friend, try a new recipe, make a list of 10 things you are grateful for, take an on line class, watch a video on pickleball—you will be ready to play when we reopen.
Hope to see you all soon!
