Elite Home Care, Day Centers acquires Uptown Senior

Elite Home Care, Day Centers & Transportation, the upstate’s fastest growing independent In-Home care and Adult Day Center, announced the acquisition of Uptown Senior, an Adult Medical Day Program that is locally and privately owned in Greenwood, S.C. The new Elite Day Center of Greenwood will continue to operate during the time it is rebranded. Additional services such as In-Home Care and Transportation will be added to this location over the coming months. This will be Elite Home Care’s fifth location in South Carolina.

The facility offers a wide range of services, a full spectrum of care, and exceptional amenities. The current building will undergo renovations to includes two separate specialized environments to serve participants ages 18-50 and a separate area for those ages 50+. Each environment is tailor to fit the participants within the program. Elite plans add a dedicated nurse’s station, on-site physician services, and therapy rooms for those in need of physical or occupational therapy. Additional offices and training space will be added to accommodate the expansion of In-Home Care services that will be offered locally in Greenwood. Elite will also be adding to the fleet of wheelchair accessible vans and buses to the area to assist in transportation for those in need.

Taking advantage of education and accreditations known to support individuals with Alzheimer’s and Dementia. The center specializes in activities that trigger brain activity and enhance the quality of life for their members. The facility’s entrances and exits have keypads for additional security. For just $59 a day, members have access to all amenities provided by the Center in addition to a hot, nutritious meal and two snacks. The Center also accepts various payor sources such as Community Long Term Care (Medicaid), Medicaid Waiver, VA, Long Term Care Policies, and Vouchers.
