Free Mental Health Support for Seniors
Hello fellow senior service providers of SC!
We are the Elder Abuse Training and Treatment Program, based out of the Medical University of South Caroline in Charleston.
We are a service grant program that has proudly served the Lowcountry region the past 4 years, offering our services at no cost, making great community connections, and embarked on our 5th year of progress this past October.
We want to remind you that we are here for all your elder mistreatment training and treatment needs. Our flagship training “Identifying and Referring Elder Mistreatment” is offered *virtually* to senior service providers and their organizations at no-cost. Our mental health component offers treatment to any older adult experiencing negative mental health effects following a traumatic event, such as emotional, financial or physical abuse. No insurance necessary, and iPads can be provided for telehealth visits with our therapist.
Please reach out if you are interested in learning more about our program, or just to say hello and introduce yourself! We love to make community connections and hope to meet more providers across the state as we work remotely during this time.
