Local Business owner receives recognition at National Conference
Alan Shaw received a Gold award for the largest percent increase in revenue in the Homewatch Network

June 20, 2011?Greenville, SC? Alan Shaw, owner of Homewatch Caregivers-Greenville was presented with the Gold award for the largest percent increase in revenue in the Homewatch network. The award was presented at the Homewatch Caregivers National Conference held in Denver, Colorado.

?This award means a lot to me. I started this business five years ago, because I really wanted to make a difference in the lives of the Upstate elderly. It was a struggle at first and this is a great achievement? said Alan Shaw, General Manager and Franchise Owner of Homewatch
Caregivers- Greenville.

Alan has been a resident of Greenville for 33 years. He moved from the Boston Area with Arthur Young & Co. CPA?s. He has two children Carlyn,33 and David 31.

During his 30 year financial career which included being as a CPA, CFO and Mortgage Broker; Alan did a lot of volunteer work. Organizations he volunteered for included, The Warehouse Theater, Camperdown Academy, Meals on Wheels, Guardian ad-Litem program and the National MS Society. In 2006 he turned 55 years old
and he reevaluated his career path after the suicide of his sister. He decided to take his volunteer work of helping the elderly and people with disabilities to the next level by opening Homewatch Caregivers here in the Upstate.
