Karen Nichols joins the Carolina Health Care team

It is our pleasure to introduce our new Director of Program Development, Karen Nichols! Caring for seniors has been Karen's passion since childhood and she began serving seniors and their families professionally in 1997.

As a Director of Nursing Services, Karen has managed assisted living, skilled nursing care, and acute care settings.  As an Administrator/Executive Director, she's led communities ranging from a free-standing skilled nursing facility to large Continuing Care Retirement Communities with 5-Star quality serving as many as 180 seniors. She's a pioneer in person-directed care, a dementia care expert, and has coordinated the Eden Alternative Coalition's implementation and training efforts throughout South Carolina.  She is married to her high school sweetheart, Mom to her 3 adult-ish daughters, and a proud Gigi of the best grandson in the world.

Karen is excited to bring her years of experience to the Carolina Health Care family.  She looks forward to building connections in the senior caregiving profession in the Lowcountry in order to empower individuals with knowledge, elevate the caregiving profession and provide servant leadership to the Carolina Health Care community.
