Life-Long Learning – Senior Scholars at Queens

August 20, 2024

Founded in 1973, Senior Scholars is a volunteer-run organization for individuals, 50 years and older. “Senior Scholars” are known for their vitality, love of lifelong learning and desire to give back to their community. This is an organization that offers welcoming fellowship and wonderful opportunities to broaden members’ intellectual perspective and enhance their understanding of international, national, and local issues and subjects of interest. Volunteering is a great way for members to keep their skill sets fresh, learn new ones and stay engaged with the community. Members (and if attending as a guest) meet weekly at Providence United Methodist Church during the academic year (September through May, except December). Other program opportunities that occur throughout the year include small lunch groups, field trips, large all member luncheons and an annual mountain retreat. All the details for our organization, small annual membership cost and calendar of events can be found at www.seniorscholars.net. Please come join us!
