Memory Trees – Alzheimer’s Association
Release Date
This season, honor or remember your loved one with Alzheimer’s Disease in a special way. Throughout the month of December, the Alzheimer’s Association will have two trees on display: one in Greenville at the Hyatt Regency, part of the St. Francis Festival of Trees, and one in Spartanburg at the Marriott at Renaissance Park, part of the Spartanburg Regional Hospital Festival of Trees. Professionally decorated by interior designers David Locke of Locke Design, and Tonia Hines of Tonia Hines Interiors, the trees promise to be a beautiful tribute to those who suffer with dementia.
From now through November, you can purchase a snowflake ornament to hang on one of our Memory Trees. Just as each snowflake in nature is unique, so, too, is each person with dementia. In recognition of this, you can have your snowflake personalized with your loved one’s name. Each ornament costs $25 and can be picked up after the holidays from the Greenville or Spartanburg area offices of the Alzheimer’s Association.
As the Memory Trees grace the lobbies of these Greenville and Spartanburg hotels this season, we hope to raise awareness of Alzheimer’s Disease and the number of people whose lives it touches.
